CHECKING THE FIRST STEP PAIN IN NECK LIMITATION

Physical therapy and rehabilitation programs are recommended for neck calcification. In the physical therapy and rehabilitation program, hot cold treatments, deep tissues, heating treatments and electricity treatment, muscle spasm and cola spreading pain are reduced. After the pain is taken into control, the exercise programs are started to provide the motion range of the neck, strengthen the muscles and correct the posture. Interventional methods are applied in patients who do not decrease pain by these methods. Injections for intramuscular injections, joint and nerve root can be applied as interventional methods. If there is no response to the treatments and severe nerve root and spinal cord compression is present, the patient is offered surgical treatment.

To avoid neck pain, please note:

• Make adjustments so as not to disturb the natural position of the neck when working with the computer. The head and neck should be upright and flush with the body when using the computer. A chair supporting the back should be used. The height of the chair where the computer is stopped and the height of the chair should be proportionate. The computer should be located at the very top of what is below the eye level. The monitor’s upper level should be at or slightly below eye level. There should be a distance of 50-65 cm between the monitor and the eye, and the monitor should be positioned exactly in front of you. 
• Be careful not to stay in the same position for a long time. Change position every 30-40 minutes, stop for 5-10 minutes per hour. 
• If you make frequent phone calls, select the handset in the form of headphones. 
• Avoid driving for a long time.
• Be careful not to use too high or low pad. Ensure that the cushion supports the neck cavity. 
• Exercise the neck area every day.
